Interview with Jason Reed Published in Urbanautica

April 30, 2012

I have become a contributing member to Urbanautica’s interview series, METADATA.  This editorial component is a collection of interviews with photography educators and editorials about contemporary photography education. Metadata attempts to review a number of different approaches to teaching photographic image-making, taking into consideration the educator’s personal artwork, the type of school, student demographics, and the contemporary technological influences.

Awarded Artist Development Grant from United Arts of Central Florida

April 30, 2012

This program funds artistic projects and learning opportunities that strengthen artistic excellence and administrative expertise in Central Florida.  Funds from this grant will help cover costs associated with my upcoming site-specific video installation at Screen Space Gallery in Melbourne, Australia this June.  This exhibition will have a catalog produced with accompanying essays by Chicago-based art historian Lisa Zaher and Canadian installation artist, Leigh-Ann Pahapill.
